Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Reese Andres of the Goose Lake Raiders baseball team.

Andres recently threw a two hit, 1 run game, across 7 innings to lead the Raiders to their first zone championship win in school history.  He led the team in hits and runs batted in all season.  Coach Jarrett Newton states, "We have six grade 9's on the team and Reese is a true leader by example for this team.  Reese is one the most coachable and respectful athlete that I have seen through the years." Earlier this year he led the hockey team to their most wins and was the team's top defencemen and an assistant captain.  He also led the volleyball team as a captain where he led the team in blocks, kills, and aces.  

This Grade 12 student carries his athletic work ethic into the classroom where he maintains an 88% academic average.
