Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Jacob Boisjoli is a stand-out student-athlete. He currently plays middle on the Collège Gabrielle-Roy's Varsity Boys volleyball team. This past weekend, Jacob led his team in blocks and also led his to wins at the AAAA Regional Play-downs and at the provincial quarter-finals, ensuring Gabrielle-Roy’s first ever Varsity appearance in a AAAA provincial semi-final. He is an integral part of the team’s offence and is dominant at the net. He was also named tournament the tournament M.V.P. at the Neelin tournament in November helping his team capture the championship.

Whenever he can, Jacob helps our school in coaching our grade 7 and 8 students to help foster the next generation of volleyball players. He is patient with kids and a great role-model to follow. He is an easy player to coach in that he takes corrections well, is always good-natured and supportive of his teammates, wants but the best for his team.

Jacob brings that same focus in the classroom. He is an astute student, is consistent in his class work and respects deadlines. He currently maintains an average of 86% in his courses.
