Anna Filippin-Buller is an extraordinary student-athlete whose achievements in academics, athletics, and community service highlight her exceptional character and dedication. Anna has balanced a rigorous academic schedule, maintaining an impressive near-99% average, while excelling as a standout volleyball player. Fluent in French and English, she communicates effectively and brings enthusiasm to every endeavor.

From an early age, Anna’s passion for sports led her to explore various disciplines before finding her calling in volleyball as an outside hitter. As the captain of her varsity volleyball team, Anna led her team to an SCAC league title and second place at the AAAA Provincials. Recognized as an SCAC All-Star, provincial All-Star, and Volleyball Manitoba Graduating All-Star, Anna has consistently demonstrated her skill, work ethic, and dedication to excellence.

Beyond school, she captained her club team, Shock Volleyball, to a provincial championship and competed with Team Manitoba at the Canada Cup. On the beach court, she earned consecutive high school provincial titles and a fourth-place finish at nationals in Vancouver.

Anna’s leadership extends off the court, where she has organized community initiatives such as fundraising for the Winnipeg Foundation, delivering hampers, and supporting Siloam Mission. A participant in the Natural Helpers program, she assists her peers with empathy, addressing issues like mental health and bullying.

Her academic aspirations include studying environmental science at the University of Winnipeg, where she hopes to address the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems.
