Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Tristan is a leader both on and off the court, Tristan plays both Varsity volleyball and Varsity basketball. He enjoys both but shines particularly bright on the basketball court. Tristan has loved sport ever since he was in kindergarten. He played in a variety of sports in Frontier Games grades 5-8 sports table tennis, badminton, archery, you named it he played it. Basketball has always been what he excelled at and, even though only a grade 10 student, Tristan has helped the Minegoziibe Anishinabe School Talons to two tournament wins and a victory over the Ste. Rose Celtics on February 18th to capture the Zone 8 Championship for a second consecutive year. He and his fellow 2nd year guard, Jayden Thompson, have also lead the Talons to a number 2 top ten ranking the highest any Talons team has held this late in the season. All of Talon nation will be waiting out for where our qualifier rankings will have the boys playing with the possibility of perhaps hosting a qualifier at home on March 8th. 

Even though Tristan likes to spend whatever spare time he has in the gym he always completes his work on time and his overall average of 90% proves that he makes sure his work is done. He can also be seen trying to encourage others to get their work done on time and to the best of their ability.
