Payworks Coach of the Month

Lloyd has been an incredible leader for the Kildonan-East varsity boys’ basketball team this season. He has volunteered endless hours over the past 13 years; building the program and setting a positive culture. His passion for the game and dedication to the players’ growth, both on and off the court, truly stands out as he makes a difference in the community.

This season, the team has achieved an impressive 15-0 record in Manitoba having recently taken home championships at both the Trojan’s Classic and Nick Laping Tournaments. Overall, Kildonan-East boasts a 17-1 record, competing against some of the toughest competition in Canada, including a strong showing at the prestigious BRIT tournament in Saskatoon earlier this season.

Lloyd’s team was honoured with the Team Sportsmanship Award, with tournament organizers and participants praising his poise, calm demeanour, and positive coaching style. Lloyd is an important member to the Kildonan-East community, and the school is very fortunate to have such a great role model leading the program.
