Payworks Coach of the Month

Michelle Riddell plays an essential role in Warren Collegiate’s athletic community, managing both the girls’ and boys’ hockey teams with remarkable dedication. From organizing practices and transportation to coordinating scorekeepers and handling game-day logistics, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. This year, she has spent countless hours on the road, driving players and riding the bus to games and practices, always ensuring they have the support they need.

Her efforts were key in helping launch WCI’s inaugural girls’ hockey team, putting in the extra time and care needed to make the season a reality. Whether assisting scorekeepers during games or stepping in as a girls' coach when needed, Michelle is always willing to go the extra mile. Recently, the Wildcats boys’ hockey team played in the Price Division Championship at Seven Oaks Arena. On top of ensuring the team was prepared and ready, Michelle also organized a student fan bus to ensure all students who wanted to go and support could get there.

Beyond the rink, she also coached the Junior Varsity girls’ basketball team, leading them to a Zone 5 championship victory this year—a reflection of her commitment to WCI’s student-athletes.

The school community is incredibly grateful for Michelle’s dedication, which gives students the chance to develop their skills, compete, and create lasting memories.
