Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Dilshan and Ken successfully completed a clean sweep of gold medals during their badminton season. Their season started with winning gold at two consecutive invitational tournaments, followed by a zone championship and completed with a provincial gold medal. Both individuals are dedicated athletes in their own respects. Dilshan is a multi-sport Trojan athlete who represented his school’s soccer, volleyball, basketball and badminton teams. Ken is a true badminton athlete who devoted much time and effort practising his craft throughout the school year and is an integral part of the Thompson Badminton Club.

Dilshan has been able to maintain an 80% grade average through his grade 11 year, while continuing to dedicate his free time to RD Parker Trojan Athletics. Ken has maintained an 87% grade average in his grade 12 year, will be graduating with honours and will be looking forward to continuing his education in post-secondary school.
