Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Preston Fazekas completed a perfect season in varsity badminton, not dropping a single game the entire season in boys' singles. After winning the Maples tournament in early April with a 21-9, 21-13 final, Preston won Varsity Provincials with a dominating performance, defeating his opponents in the semi-finals and finals by the identical score of 21-10, 21-8. Coach Scott Schalla states that Preston works very hard on his game, practicing on his own time to improve his shots, strategy and fitness, and this showed with the performance he had on court at Provincials.

In grade 11, Preston maintains a 90% average.
