Payworks Coach of the Month

Passion. Dedication. Excellence. That’s what Brad Scott has brought to SBDHS and to the many teams he has coached here over the last 17 years. He runs a vigorous program, and the students know that being on one of his teams requires hard work, commitment, and responsibility. They also know that they need to put in that same effort and attitude towards their academic and personal duties as well.

As a result, many of Brad’s teams have won Zone championships, especially in volleyball, basketball, soccer and track.

This month alone Brad has successfully coached three different teams to Provincials. The month began with several of his players making their third consecutive appearance in the Badminton Provincial Championships. Immediately after that, he coached the Boys Track and Field Team to their 6th consecutive Zone 12 Championship and many of his athletes will continue with the Track and Field Provincials in June where they hope to medal in multiple events again this year. He ended the month by coaching the Boys Soccer Team, who had an incredible season, and will make their 3rd consecutive appearance at the Soccer Provincial Championships.

Brad brings a lot of knowledge and expertise of all sports to his teams, and the students greatly benefit from his wisdom. He is able to give useful, specific advice to each player in every sport to help them grow and improve as they need. He constantly goes above and beyond for the students, the school and the sports program and his passion and dedication inspire his students and his players to emulate these same values both on and off the court, even after they graduate.
