AA Girls:

Colby Darragh of Warren Collegiate Institute – Colby has made an extraordinary impact during her Grade 12 year at Warren Collegiate. Balancing high-level competition in basketball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, and badminton, Colby has also been a cornerstone of student life and service both within her school and her community.

As captain of the Warren Wildcats, she led her team to the AA Varsity Girls Provincial Championship, finishing as the tournament’s Top Scorer, Game Star, and earning selection to the All-Star Team, along with the title of Provincial MVP. She was named Basketball Manitoba’s AA Female Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and received the Ron Meyers Leadership Award for her dedication, character, and influence on the game.

Colby was the leading scorer for her team and earned MVP honors at multiple tournaments including the AAA MBCI, AA Souris, and AA Warren invitationals. She also helped her Evolve Basketball Club team to a Tier 1 Championship.

In volleyball, Colby was a key member of the leadership group, helping guide the team to a Zone 5 championship and a provincial berth. She was selected to the Volleyball Manitoba Graduating All-Star Game. In cross country, she finished 3rd at Zones and placed 23rd at Provincials, while in badminton she represented Warren in mixed doubles at the Zone 5 championship.

Colby is a standout in track and field as a Provincial Team member in the heptathlon. She currently holds the Warren Collegiate and Zone 5 pentathlon records and has represented Manitoba at the Western Canada Team Challenge the past two years, finishing 3rd in 2023 and 4th in 2024.

Beyond sport, Colby was the co-chair of the Warren Collegiate Leadership Team, she has helped organize spirit weeks, fundraisers, and school-wide events while contributing to the Track Revival Committee, where her grant-writing secured $5,000 from the Redboine Watershed District. She’s also a Grad Committee member and active participant on the school’s Envirothon and Ethics Bowl teams, helping her school earn its first-ever berth at Nationals.

In the community, Colby serves on the National Youth Advisory Council, referees for Stonewall Soccer and the Red River Recreational League, volunteers with her church and various local events, and offers her time as a trusted babysitter.
