Athlete of the Year

A Boys:

Chael Rozdeba of Hamiota Collegiate Institute – A standout multi-sport athlete known for his leadership, skill, and dedication, Chael has had a tremendous final year at Hamiota Collegiate. Balancing four varsity sports while excelling both on the ice and court, Chael has established himself as a top competitor and respected teammate across multiple disciplines.

In hockey, Chael served as assistant captain and led his team as the top point scorer — a testament to both his offensive ability and leadership on the ice. On the volleyball court, he was a dominant force all season, earning recognition as a Provincial All-Star, and Volleyball Manitoba Graduating All-Star.

Chael also represented his school in badminton, capturing the Zone 10 championship in mixed doubles and earning a berth at the Provincials. On the baseball diamond, his hard work and team-first attitude earned him the Coach’s Choice award for the varsity team.

At Hamiota’s athletic banquet, Chael was recognized with three major honors: Outstanding Leadership in Varsity Volleyball, Top Forward in Hockey, and the Coach’s Choice Award in Baseball — all well-deserved acknowledgments of his impact and character.
