Athlete of the Year
Kai Gaudet

AA Boys:
Kai Gaudet of MacGregor Collegiate Institute – A multi-sport athlete, leader, and dedicated community member, Kai has left an enduring mark on MacGregor Collegiate through his athletic excellence, leadership, and service. Competing in nine varsity sports during his senior year—volleyball, basketball, badminton, soccer, baseball, cross country, track and field, and golf—Kai exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete.
On the volleyball court, he earned a spot on the A-AAA Volleyball Manitoba All-Manitoba Team and being named a Graduating All-Star. He was also selected as a Provincial All-Star and the Provincial Players’ Choice Recipient, while leading his team as captain. His dominant play earned him tournament all-star honours and contributed to multiple tournament championships and a first-place finish at the AA Provincial Qualifier.
On the basketball court, Kai captained the varsity team and led in scoring, while also guiding his team to a tournament bronze medal finish. In soccer, he again served as captain and top scorer. In cross-country, Kai claimed first place at the Zone 7 Championships, and in badminton, he took 6th place at Provincials in varsity boys singles after winning multiple tournaments throughout the season.
Off the field, Kai served as Student Council President and the MHSAA Board of Directors Student Representative. He was recognized as a MHSAA Athlete of the Week in September for his leadership and athletic contributions.
In the community, Kai captained the Brandon Volleyball Club team, officiated hockey and soccer, and contributed as a speaker at the local Remembrance Day ceremony and warm-up leader for the MacGregor Colour Run.
